The production of sulphur compounds has a long tradition at the CWK and, historically, represents the oldest production line. The production of sodium thiosulphate was initiated in 1871.
Today, in addition to the classic sodium thiosulphate (anhydrous, pentahydrate or aqueous solution) ammonium thiosulphate (solid and liquid), potassium sulphite, ammonium sulphite, ammonium hydrogen sulphite and potassium thiosulphate are also produced in modern plants. The chemical purity and high quality of these products are of particular importance.
In addition to the above, CWK also has efficient production lines that produce and pack custom-manufactured mixtures and solutions based on the products manufactured here (e.g. fixing compounds for the photographic industry or speciality fertilizers for agriculture). The pack sizes range from tanker loads to 1-litre bottles and from Big Bags to plastic sacks – with or without vacuum seal.
